DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks signed guard Manny Harris and forward Jarrod Uthoff to 10-day contracts, the club announced Thursday.
Harris has averaged 6.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 17.6 minutes in 89 games played in a three-year career. The 6-5, 185-pound undrafted guard has started in 20 games in his career. Harris has played with the Cavaliers and Lakers in his career.
Since 2014, Harris has been in the NBA Development League, most recently with the Texas Legends where he averaged 26.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.2 steals and 39.2 minutes in 37 games in the 2016-17 season. He also started 36 games.
Uthoff is another undrafted player. After the 2016 NBA Draft, the former Iowa Hawkeye played in one preseason game before being waived on Oct. 22. Since then, he has been with the Raptors 905 of the D-League and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. In 35 combined games, Uthoff has averaged 10.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 23.9 minutes per game in seven starts. Uthoff joins Yogi Ferrell and A.J. Hammons as the third Mavericks player to have been named to the 2016 All-Big Ten First Team.
Harris will wear No. 6 and Uthoff will wear No. 19 for Dallas. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
