FAYETTEVILLE — RHP Blaine Knight will lead the Arkansas Razorbacks from the mound as they initiate their three-game series with the Georgia Bulldogs Thursday at Baum Stadium.

The action starts at 6:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Radio 1400 with Phil Elson on the play-by-play and Rick Schaeffer providing color commentary.

Knight is having a phenomenal season, going 5-1 in six starts, producing a 1.94 ERA, and striking out 54 batters versus five walks. He still holds the best strikeout-to-walk ratio among all Southeastern Conference pitchers (10.80), and his five walks surrendered is the lowest in the conference.

On the other side stands lefty Andrew Gist, who has the fifth-best strikeout-to-walk ratio in the conference at 6.00. Gist is 2-2 on the season with a 3.38 ERA and has struck out 48 batters versus eight walks.

Though the Razorbacks have the best overall record among SEC teams at 26-8, they need the win over the Bulldogs as they are presently tied with the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers at 8-4 in conference record. All three squads are tied with the Kentucky Wildcats for the best conference record overall.

Arkansas has not had any trouble in recent years with Georgia, as they have not lost a series against the Dawgs since 2012.
