The 2018 annual Cops and Kids Night is this Thursday, December 13th.

The 2018 annual Cops and Kids Night event will take place at the Four States Fair Grounds Fine Arts Building. Members of the Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department will meet at the Bi-State Justice Center downtown at 5pm. Officers will form two convoys.

One parade formation will travel to the Texarkana Baptist Orphanage on Highway 82 East. The other formation will head to Watersprings Ranch Children’s Home on North Sanderson Lane.

The children will then ride with a police officer in a patrol car, with lights and sirens, to the fairgrounds.

The annual Cops and Kids Program is a spirit of fellowship that takes place during the holiday season. It reinforces the positive aspects of community and police relationships.

The kids, and the police officers involved look forward to the event every year. Authorities expect to greet and feed some sixty children this year at the event.

The kids and officers will enjoy at meal at the Four States Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building starting Thursday at 6pm.

Hats off to these fine officers with the Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department. It’s just another way that the department and these fine officers show their love and commitment for the community that the serve.
