Adrian Beltre doubled down the left field line in the bottom of the 4th inning for his 3,000th of his career and the Texas lost the third game of their 3-game series with Baltimore 10-6. The Orioles took 2-of-3 from Texas this weekend.
Beltre’s 3,000th hit came on a 3-0 pitch from Wade Miley. Beltre’s double was the 604th of his career, tying him at #14 all time with Paul Molitor. Beltre’s 3,000th hit was not only big for The Rangers fans but for Dominican Republic baseball fans because Beltre is the first Dominican born player to belt 3,000 hits in his career.

Fox Sports Radio 1400 brought a bus load of 50 Rangers fan from Texarkana to the game with luxury transportation aboard the Fox Sports Southwest Fan Express. When Beltre hit his 3,000th hit the fans, including those from Texarkana rose to their feet and cheered Adrian on as his family members came on the field.
The Rangers revealed a banner in left center field honoring Beltre. Later in the game, Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez who was in Cooperstown, New York where he was inducted into the National baseball hall of fame congratulated Beltre on the giant screen.
Rangers fans received a commemorative certificate to frame with their game ticket when they left the stadium on a day they will remember for ever. A player hitting 3,000 hits has only happened 31 times in MLB baseball history.
