Los Angeles Angels (45-47) starting pitcher JC Ramirez (8-7, 4.46) silenced the Texas Rangers bats Sunday at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas allowing no Rangers  runs in 6 innings and Texas succumbed the third game of theier 3-game  series to the Los Angeles 3-0 in front of crowd of 28,384.

The Rangers did win 2-out-of-3 in the series the final series leading into the all-star-break.

Rangers’ starter Yu Darvish (6-8, 3.49) was the hard luck loser registering his 8th loss of the season despite allowing only 2 runs in 7 innings.

Albert Pujols hit the 604th home run of his career off Darvish in the first inning, improving his slugging percentage to .387.

Rangers get a break till Friday

Texas sluggers looked like they were ready for the all-star-break.  Rougned Odor went 0-for-4 to end his hit streak at a career-best 10 games.

The Rangers will return from the all-star break on Friday when they open a 3-game series against the Royals in Kansas City.
