TEXARKANA, ARKANSAS- The Arkansas High Razorbacks took advantage of a pick 6 and blocked field goal for a touchdown in a 30-14 victory over the Camden Fairview Cardinals at Razorbacks Stadium in Texarkana Friday night.
The Hogs got on the board first with a blocked field goal for a touchdown. Cameron Collier blocked the kick and returned it 85 yards for pay dirt.
Razorbacks reciever Irijah Price was the offensive star of the game for the Razorbacks. Price hauled in 6 passes for 132-yards including 72-yard TD catch on a screen play. Price also had a TD catch for 5-yards and a scoring run from 8-yards out.
The Razorbacks had 283 total yards of total offense. The Camden Fairview Cardinals racked up 252 yards in offense.
The Cardinals had trouble rushing the ball. Arkansas High kept the Cardinals running game in check at 26 carries for 66 yards.
The final score came on an interception return for TD from Cameron Harris. Harris jumped the route and took it to the corner for the score.
Arkansas High’s ‘Tyrie Black got an interception to ice the game late in the 4th quarter.
Camden Fairview played only 5 days after the death of one of their players
The Camden Fairview Cardinals were playing with heavy hearts. Tyler Kelley, a sophomore backup quarterback, tight end and long snapper was killed in an auto accident last Sunday. Kelley was only 16 years old.
The Camden Fairview Cardinals open conference play next Friday on the road at Lakeside Hot Springs.
