TEXARKANA — The Arkansas High Razorbacks knocked off the Marion Patriots 23-14 Friday night at Patriot Stadium for their first playoff win since 2011.
Junior receiver Irijah Price caught seven passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns as part of the Hogs’ 204 yards passing.
Sophomore quarterback Sean Foreback completed 15-of-23 for 204 yards and two touchdowns and one interception. Foreback also rushed five times for one yard.
Junior running back Jordan Hall texted head football coach Barry Norton letting him know he was good to go. Hall rushed 19 times for 54 yards, including the go-ahead 5-yard touchdown that padded the Hogs’ 23-14 lead with 3:31 to play.
Cornerback DeJordan Mask, who had seven interceptions on the season, picked off Marion in the fourth quarter to protect the Razorbacks’ lead. Along with fellow junior corner Cameron Collier, the Hogs pass defense limited Patriots quarterback Jacob Green to 20-of-32 for 216 yards, one touchdown, and an interception. Marion receiver Joyrion Chase had a team-high 60 yards on six carries. Patriots running back Anthony Price carried 24 times for a game-high 74 yards.
Arkansas High travels to Greenwood next Friday to take on the Bulldogs, who beat the Hogs 38-17 at Razorback Stadium on Sept. 22. Michael DelGiorno and Greg Hogan will have the call on Fox Sports Radio 1400 and the Freed AM Sports app with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. and pregame at 6:00 p.m.
