Earlier this week, ten year old Ricardo Torres assisted Texarkana, Texas police officers by translating and relaying information for his grandmother about a noise complaint, Texarkana, Texas Police said.
According to police, While the incident was minor, Ricardo was a huge help to officers.
When word got back to Lt. Aaron Brower about what Ricardo had done, police said Brower suggested to Sgt. Jeremy Courtney that he stop by to visit with him and let him know how much police appreciated his help.
The Texarkana, Texas police department said Sgt. Courtney went by Friday and presented Ricardo Torres with a TTPD challenge coin and lapel pin.
Boy said he wants to be a police officer
According to the Texarkana, Police said Ricardo told Sgt. Courtney that he wants to be an officer when he gets older.
“Come see us in a few more years,” the Texarkana, Texas police said on the Face Book page.
