Fox Sports Radio 1400 will host their third annual Marathon for the Hungry. The donation site for this year’s Marathon will be Walmart Neighborhood Market at 3520 Richmond Road in Texarkana, Texas. Radio personalities from Fox Sports 1400 will be bursting onto the airwaves LIVE at 7:00 a.m and broadcasting until 6:00 p.m. Citizens are encourage to bring non-perishable food item. Items can include canned vegetables, fruits and soups.

Wright Patman Credit Union Chapter is the sponsor for this year’s Marathon for the Hungry and local credit unions are currently receiving donations; receptacles are set up at each location. Patricia Cunningham, Vice President of Marketing at Red River Credit Union dreamed up the idea for the Marathon for the Hungry. Wright Patman Credit Union Chapter wanted to come together to do something to impact the local community. Harvest Regional Texarkana benefits from Marathon for the Hungry

Donations of the food were turned over for distribution to Harvest Regional Food Bank Texarkana, serving the needy in the Ark-La-Tex. Harvest Regional Food Bank has helped feed Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas families for over 25 years. They accept and distribute food that is served at local food pantries. It is also served at soup kitchens, shelters, schools and other agencies that provide hunger relief. They have many opportunities available for those who want to help (through donations or volunteering), and for those who want to host a food drive or special event for the Food Bank.

Fox Sports Radio 1400 is Texarkana’s source for local sports, news and weather and live play by play of Dallas Cowboys, Arkansas Razorbacks and high school sports. Plus, local sports talk. Fox Sports 1400 is locally owned and operated by Robert and Meghan DelGiorno. Their stations excel at raising money for local non-profits.
