Matt Goodheart led a huge comeback with a 3-run home run and double and Hunter Lewis was the winning pitcher as the Texarkana Razorbacks (30-8) beat Little Rock at the American Legion state tournament in Conway, Arkansas Saturday 6-5 at Hendrix College. The game was broadcasted live on 94.1 FM ESPN Texarkana.
The defending American Legion World Series champion Razorbacks trailed 5-0 but they never panicked.
“We’re not going to get rattled if we’re down,” Dane Peavy, Texarkana Razorbacks head coach said. “They (the Razorbacks) know how to win.”
Lewis improved to 4-1 with the win and Justin Swecker came in from the bullpen and earned the save for the Hogs.
“Credit Lewis, he could have folded up,” Peavy said. “He’s got a lot of guts. Swecker came in and closed the door”

Goodheart was named the 94.1 FM Exceed Urgent Care player of the game.
“He’s been hampered with a hamstring injury but he came through for us today,” Coach Peavy said.
