UNDATED (AP) — Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald did not report to camp Friday while seeking a new contract.
General manager Les Snead intends to continue negotiations on a contract extension with the two-time All Pro, who skipped several weeks of offseason workouts. Donald still has two years left on his contract, making his negotiations more complicated.
In other NFL news:
— The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a multi-year extension with two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jurrell Casey. ESPN reported Casey received a four-year, $60.4 million extension. He is the team’s first back-to-back Pro Bowl defensive player since Albert Haynesworth in 2007-08.
— Damontre’ Moore has become the third Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman to learn he will begin the upcoming season on the suspended list. The NFL says the defensive end has been suspended without pay for the first two games of the regular season for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. Defensive end David Irving and defensive tackle Randy Gregory already were suspended.
NFL News July 29 2017, Shane Ray to have surgery
— Broncos linebacker Shane Ray will undergo surgery Saturday to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist and is expected to miss six weeks to eight weeks. Ray hurt the wrist Thursday and fell on it during drills on Friday.
— The Raiders have signed first-round draft pick Gareon Conley and expect him to take part in the team’s first practice Saturday. Conley was taken 24th overall in April after picking off six passes in 42 games for Ohio State.
— Kansas City and Seattle have swapped linebackers, with D.J. Alexander joining the Seahawks and Kevin Pierre-Louis being sent to the Chiefs. Alexander was a Pro Bowl selection last season as a special teams player for the Chiefs and played sparingly on defense.
— Bears outside linebacker Pernell McPhee had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. There is no timetable for his return.
— The Titans have released offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola, days after he was grazed by a bullet in the leg. The July 23 incident in Arkansas was Tretola’s second this year.
— The 49ers have signed No. 3 overall pick Solomon Thomas and now have all 10 of the team’s 2017 draft picks under contract. The defensive lineman out of Stanford received a four-year package.
