An Arkansas State Trooper has been hospitalized from injuries endured in a single-motor vehicle crash in Little River County, Arkansas, Thursday.
State Police say Corporal Clayton McWilliams was responding to a crash scene involving an overturned logging truck in Sevier County on U.S.-71. Northbound near Wilton, the 32-year-old trooper left the roadway and struck a tree, police say. Heavy rainfall in the area is believed to be a significant factor in the cause of the accident involving the state trooper northbound near Wilton.
Corporal McWilliams was first transported to a Texarkana hospital before being moved to a Little Rock hospital where his injuries are being assessed, according to police.
