Kids College fundraiser planned for next month in Southwest Arkansas.
The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana will hold the 13th Annual Beads, Bags, and Bangles Kids College Fundraiser. The event will be on Thursday, February 28th from 6 to 9pm. It will occur at The Venue at Twelve Oaks located at 4177 Highway 29 North in Blevins, Arkansas. This is only about 6 miles north of Hope.
The theme of this years event is “Big Hat and Bow Ties.” Featured this year will be mint juleps, horse racing, live music, and shopping. You are encouraged to wear your best big hat and your most charming bow tie.
Proceeds raised at the event will be used for scholarships and supplies to benefit the 2019 Kids College and Camp Save-a-Life programs. These programs are designed for students who will be in the first through eighth grades. The 2018 campaign served children from Hope, Texarkana, and surrounding communities.
A portion of the funds will also benefit UAHT’s Camp-Save-a-Life Program. This serves approximately 50 students in the seventh and eighth grades in Hope and Texarkana.
