Traffic detour in Texarkana on this Wednesday.
If you are driving through Texarkana today you will want to take a different exit if you are headed westbound on Interstate 30, and want to get to Richmond Road.
The Texas Department of Transportation is working on the Richmond Road/Pavilion Parkway exit from westbound Interstate 30 today.
The exit will be closed until about 4:30 in the afternoon.
The Texarkana Texas Police Department advises to access St. Michael Drive and Richmond Road you will need to take Exit 222. That is the one immediately past State Line Avenue.
If you miss it, you’ll have to go all the way up to the University exit and come back down Mall Drive.
As always, be careful in and around construction zones. Slow down in construction zones and watch out for workers and other motorists.
