TEXARKANA, Arkansas – The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is pleased to announce the recent promotions of four officers;
Lieutenant James Atchley has been promoted to the rank of Captain. Captain Atchley began his law enforcement career with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department in July of 2000.
During his career in Law Enforcement Captain Atchley has served in the Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigation Division as an officer and Supervisor. Captain Atchley recently served as the Lieutenant for Narcotics and the Special Operations Division.
Captain Atchley has been a member of the Awards Committee, Honor Guard, and SWAT team where he currently serves as the Assistant Commander for SWAT.
Captain Atchley holds a Senior Law Enforcement Certificate and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Captain Atchley has received numerous letters of commendation and appreciation, he has also received numerous awards for his work in Law Enforcement.
His promotion date is as follows; promoted to Captain (effective) 02/03/2019.
Sergeant Zach White has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lieutenant White began his career with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department in March of 2007.
During his career Lieutenant White has served in the Patrol Division as a patrol officer and in the Special Operations division where he was a Housing Authority Officer. Lt. White has recently served as a Sergeant in the Criminal Investigation Division.
Lt. White holds a Senior Law Enforcement Certificate and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Southwestern Adventist University. Lt. White has received numerous letters of commendation and appreciation. He has served as member of the Advisory Board and currently serves as the Chairman of the Awards Committee.
His promotion date is as follows; promoted to Lieutenant (effective) 02/03/2019.
Corporal Kristi Bennett has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Bennett began her law enforcement career with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department in January of 2005.
During her career with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department Sgt. Bennett has served in the Patrol Division and in the Services Division as the Public Information Officer.
Sgt. Bennett has been a member of the Advisory Board, Awards Committee, Explorer Post and sits on numerous boards within the community.
Sgt. Bennett holds a Senior Law Enforcement Certificate and a master’s degree in Public Administration. Sgt. Bennett has received numerous letters of commendation and appreciation for her work she does within the agency and the community.
Her promotion date is as follows; promoted to Sergeant (effective) 02/03/2019.
Officer Kyle Caudle has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Caudle began his law enforcement career with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department in June of 2013.
During his career with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department Sgt. Caudle has served in the Patrol Division, Narcotics section of the Criminal Investigation Division, and the Special Operations Crime Suppression Division.
Sgt. Caudle is a member of the Texarkana Arkansas Swat Team and a Field Training Officer.
Sgt. Caudle holds an Intermediate Law Enforcement Certificate and has received numerous letters of commendation and appreciation.
His promotion date is as follows; promoted to Sergeant (effective) 02/03/2019.
