Arkansas High athletes signing their letters-of-intent Wednesday were Hannah Massey, DeJordan Mask, Demetrias Charles II, Irijah Price, Rico Thomas, Treveon Cleveland, Alford Charles Williams and Cameron Collier.

 

Arkansas High’s multi-talented senior class of athletes were rewarded Wednesday during National Signing Day at the high school’s Red Wall.

Eight Razorbacks signed their letters-of-intent. The list includes NCAA Division I recruits Demetrias Charles II, Irijah Price and DeJordan Mask. Charles and Price will continue their football careers in Conway, Ark., at the University of Central Arkansas, while Mask is headed for Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.

Division II recruits are Treveon Cleveland and Alford Charles Williams. They are bound for Russellville, Ark., and Arkansas Tech University. Rico Thomas is going to the University of Arkansas-Monticello, while Cameron Collier extends his football career at Trinity Valley Community College. Hannah Massey will be moving to Arkadelphia, Ark., to participate in cross country.

PG, L-E sending 10 athletes to college

Both Pleasant Grove and Liberty-Eylau had five athletes each ink their letters-of-intent.

Kamren Woods will be in Arkadelphia next fall playing football for Ouachita Baptist University, while James Wiggins is going to Louisiana College. Seth Hopkins extends his baseball career at Seminole College in Oklahoma, and Garrett Young will be playing basketball at the University of Dallas. Avery Jenson is going to Hendrix College to play soccer in Conway, Ark.

Liberty-Eylau’s Dazawion Cooper missed his senior season because of a knee injury. However, he’s fit and ready for his collegiate career at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Wide receivers El-Amin Greer and Isaiah Cross will be playing football in Division II. Greer is going to the University of Texas-Permian Basin, while Cross signed with the University of Arkansas-Monticello. Cedric Dickerson is also going to be a Boll Weevil in Monticello, Ark.

Lamiah George is taking her track and field talent to the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.

L-E Athletic Director Steve Wells noted Marzavin Riles will be a preferred walk-on at SFA as a dual performer in football and baseball.

Texas High duo going to SAU

Texas High will be represented next fall in Magnolia, Ark. Myles Washington and Kendall Reid will be playing football for the Southern Arkansas University Muleriders.

The Lady Tigers’ softball program will be sending Kylee Spriggs to Northeast Texas Community College, near Mount Pleasant, Texas. Spriggs has been Texas High’s catcher for four seasons.

Atlanta running back/linebacker Jawan King is going to Rice University. Teammate Shun Hunter will be at Kilgore College next fall.

Perhaps the biggest news came in Cass County, where Atlanta running back/linebacker Jawan King signed his letter to attend Rice University in Houston. Teammate Shun Hunter figures to be a starting lineman for Kilgore Junior College next September.

DeKalb’s Jason Jackson, a wide receiver/defensive back, inked with Mississippi Valley College.
