
KIRBY, Ark. – Blevins spoiled Trinity Christian’s junior high boys successful basketball season, ending it on a disappointing note at the District 1A tournament.
Blevins led wire-to-wire to beat the Warriors in the title game, 51-36. It was 22-7 in the second quarter when Trinity Christian went on an 8-2 run to make it 24-15 at intermission.
Warriors win regular season crown
Trinity Christian won the regular season title. John Luke Angier led the Warriors’ comeback in the championship game, finishing with 11 points, 5 steals and 2 assists. Marley Franklin had 10 points and 19 rebounds, while Silas Nix scored 10 points.
The Warriors advanced to the title game last Thursday by eliminating host Kirby, 40-10. Franklin had 12 points, with Wil Smith and Nix contributing 10 each.
