Texarkana Run The Line

The Run the Line, Half Marathon is this weekend in Texarkana. Police say be careful and watch for the runners participating in the race.

Authorities will have extra patrols out at key intersections to help provide a safe trip for the participants.

They advise for motorists to slow down and watch for the runners in the race. They also advise to allow a little extra time to get where you are going along the marathon route.

Hundreds of runners from across the country will be in Texarkana for the event. The race starts at 7:30 am.

Co-Race Director and Partnership for the Pathway Board Member is Melinda Vammen. She says, “We’re so proud of our local runners and appreciative of the Texarkana community members that support this event. I think out of town athletes talk highly about us because so many organizations and both cities come together to support a unique fundraiser for local walking trails.”
