Tigervision at Texas High receives big honor. The broadcast entity was named one of five regional winners in broadcast excellence.
The recognition was in Broadcast Excellence for School Announcements Show.
The recognition was awarded by the Student Television Network. As the winner in the Southwest region, TigerVision beat out the competition in the School Announcements category. This encompassed Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The School Announcements category is for mostly live or taped talent. This includes very limited pre-produced content and packages.
According to the school district, TigerVision is an innovative broadcast journalism program featuring a state-of-the-art production studio. It’s fully equipped with the latest in digital and high definition technology. Students get hands-on experience producing a show that airs daily on the THS campus.
TigerVision is an Apple Authorized Training Center for Education.
This certification enables students, upon graduation, to jump-start their futures within the industry or post-secondary institutions. It distinguishes them as professional-level users of
Apple Pro applications.
TigerVision’s Mobile Production Unit allows them to produce live segments in High Definition while on the road.
