Pleasant Grove senior Shanequa Henry is this week’s Fox Sports Texarkana/Dewey Moore Ford Player of the Week.

The Lady Hawks earned a trip to the Region II-4A Tournament Friday in Commerce at Texas A&M University-Commerce. The Lady Hawks’ next challenge is Dallas Lincoln (29-4), which beat Aubrey in the quarterfinals.
The Hawks punched their ticket Tuesday night when they beat Brownsboro, 54-51. Pleasant Grove’s individual standout was Henry. She scored 16 points, while contributing 7 steals and 5 assists.
Texas High, Atlanta players recognized
Texas High’6-7 junior C.J. Kelley has enjoyed a spectacular season. Kelley helped the Tigers win their first playoff game in several years Tuesday. Texas High beat Pine Tree, 90-54. Kelley contributed 25 points and 20 rebounds in that win.
Kelly is the ESPN Texarkana/Dewey Moore Ford Player of the Week.
The Tigers advance to the area round of the 5A playoffs to face Red Oak.
Charlie Powell has been a consistent performer for the Atlanta Rabbits this season. Nothing changed in the 3A bi-district playoffs as Powell tallied 21 points in leading the Rabbs past Winnsboro, 74-68.
Powell is this week’s KPYN/Dewey Moore Ford Player of the Week.
Atlanta’s next test in the postseason has the Rabbs renewing their rivalry with Jefferson (23-8), which eliminated Arp Tuesday night.
