Texarkana, Texas police said they arrested a woman who allegedly occupied a vacant home and was selling some of the contents on swap shop.
Jessica Telford had been living in a nice little house on Pansy Street for a while, but police said that it wasn’t her house.
Yesterday afternoon, Texarkana police said officers Jonathan Price and Jack Crye were dispatched there on a trespasser call after the owner’s family was told by neighbors that someone was now living in the house. It was supposed to be vacant after the owner passed away last year. Police said that Officer Price found Telford inside and arrested her after confirming that she had no business being there.
Woman made herself at home
Apparently, Telford was really making herself at home. Police said some appliances had been moved to the back porch and we found evidence that she’d been selling items from the house on local swap and shop websites. As a matter of fact, police said a woman showed up to pick up an upright freezer from the house that she was buying from Telford while cops were still there.
Telford was transported to the Bi-State Jail where she now has another nice place to stay until she posts the $25,000 bond the judge set this morning on her Burglary of a Building charge.
