
Nine high schools from Southwest Arkansas remain alive in the Arkansas State Basketball Tournaments.
Magnolia is the lone 4A boys team, and will be in action Thursday on its home court against Morrilton at 2:30 p.m. De Queen’s girls played a late game Wednesday night.
There’s four 3A schools from the area, including Ashdown’s boys and girls. Ashdown’s boys play their first game of the tournament Thursday in Osceola against Tuckerman at 2:30 p.m. The Lady Panthers play Harding Academy at 4 p.m.
Fouke girls among nine teams left
Fouke’s girls play their second game of the 3A tournament Thursday against Atkins at 7 p.m. Centerpoint’s girls play Trumann Thursday at 1 p.m.
Three 2A schools are alive, two playing Thursday and one on Friday. Spring Hill defeated Poyen on Wednesday in Carlisle, 44-40. The Lady Bears play Melbourne Friday at 1 p.m. Murfreesboro challenges Marmaduke Thursday at 7 p.m. Lafayette County’s boys play Marked Tree Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
