The Southwest Arkansas Seniors Golf Association teed off its 2019 monthly tournament schedule Wednesday at Texarkana Golf Ranch.
Two teams tied for first place at 12-under-par 60. The team of Mike Erskine, Tony Cresgy, John McLaughlin and Norman Callies won a scorecard playoff. Taking home second place money were Larry East, Billy House, Jerry Burnett and John Akin.
Finishing third with a 62 was the team of Ron Williams, Levi Pigeon, Dennis Simpson and Mike Penney.
The next tournament will be March 21 at Glenwood Country Club. The format will be a 2-man shamble/best ball. There will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m., while the number of flights will be determined by the number of entries.

April’s event will be a 2-man (4 ball) at Idabel Country Club. A 2-man scramble will be held in May at New Haven Golf Club in Texarkana. The tour returns to Texarkana Golf Ranch for the first of two tournaments in June. A 2-man shamble is scheduled for the Ranch, and a 2-man scramble at Nashville Country Club.
Glenwood will host a 2-man scramble in July. There will be two events in August, with a 2-man (4 ball) at Northridge Country Club, and a 2-man scramble at Hope Country Club.
Club championship set for Oak Grove
The SWASGA club championships will be Sept. 19 at Oak Grove Golf Club. The season winds down with a 4-man scramble in October at DeGray Golf Course, and a 2-man scramble at Texarkana Golf Ranch.
