Liberty-Eylau ISD in Texarkana, Texas said that there was an incident today at the High School today where an individual attempted to bring a weapon on campus.
LEISD Police said that they were able to stop the attempt and the alleged perpetrator was immediately arrested.
Person arrested was a 17-year-old student
The Texarkana Gazette said that the person arrested was a 17-year-old student.
LEISD Police said that because of their quick actions, at no time were students or staff in danger.
The LEISD School district social media page said that proactive communication between the district, parents, LEISD Police and Wake Village police ensured everyone’s safety.
