Arkansas high destroyed Magnolia

 

Arkansas High bounced back from a conference loss to Sheridan Tuesday by defeating Rataan (Okla.) in six innings, 12-2.

Drake Browning was the winning pitcher, with relief from Braylon Bishop and Cody Adcock. Browning went the first three innings, allowing two hits, walking three and striking out five. The three Razorback pitchers combined for nine walks.

Floyd Hill and J Ross had two hits each for the Hogs, with Nicholas Harris contributing a two-run single. Browning also had a run-scoring hit.

Sheridan jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first two innings last week to beat the Razorbacks, 7-3. Adcock was the losing pitcher. Graydon Martin had three hits for Arkansas High, and Browning drove in two runs with a single. Preston Bunch also had a run-scoring single.

Hawks remain unbeaten in 15-4A

PITTSBURG, Texas – Marshall Cox homered and Seth Hopkins drove in four runs with two singles Tuesday to keep Pleasant Grove (14-4, 5-0) unbeaten in District 15-4A with a 6-0 win over Pittsburg.

Ben Harmon added two doubles for the Hawks, with Jackson Cobb contributing two singles.

Sophomore Tucker Anderson started on the mound for Pleasant Grove and got the win. In 4.1 innings he allowed two hits and struck out three. Marshall Oubre got a save by retiring all eight batters he faced, three by strikeouts.

Wildcats rout Liberty-Eylau, 14-4

Liberty-Eylau took a step backwards in district Tuesday by losing to Paris in five innings, 14-4.

The Wildcats scored five runs in the first inning to put the game out of reach. Matthew O’Neal was the losing pitcher.

Blake Carter led the Leopards at the plate with a double, single and RBI. Gage Stanley had two singles, while Drew Langford plated two runs in the first inning with a double.

Big first inning propels Texas High

GREENVILLE, Texas – Texas High scored 10 runs in the first inning and cruised to a 16-1 victory Tuesday over Greenville.

Michael Sikorski pitched the first four innings for the win, with Cameron Radney throwing the final frame.

Connor Allred had a double, two singles, three runs scored and three RBI to lead the Tigers at the plate. Jackson Halter also had a double, two single and two RBI. Rian Cellers drove in three runs with a triple, and scored three runs.

Rabbits win big over DeKalb

ATLANTA, Texas – Atlanta banged out 17 hits Tuesday and defeated DeKalb, 11-2.

Andy Samples led the Rabbits at the plate with four hits. Jake Thompson, Hunter Allen, Kelby Smith and Max Ebarb also had multiple hits for Atlanta.

Allen was the winning pitcher, scattering four hits and striking out seven in five innings. Cooper McClure finished up on the mound for the Rabbs.

Softball

Lady Tigers blank Royse City, 5-0

ROYSE CITY, Texas – Lindsey Egger scattered five hits and struck out 10 Tuesday in pitching Texas High past Royse City, 5-0.

Freshman Lauren Allred led the Lady Tigers at the plate with a double, two singles and three RBI. Kaitlyn Cross also drive home three runs with two singles.
