Texas Wesleyan's Caden Williams had four hits Tuesday in leading his team past Texas A&M University-Texarkana, 6-4, at George Dobson Field.

 

Caden Williams had two doubles and two singles Tuesday at George Dobson Field in leading Texas Wesleyan (34-8) past Texas A&M University-Texarkana, 6-4.

The visitors scored four runs off losing pitcher Carter Coats in the first inning, adding two more in the second.

The Eagles (22-20) rallied with two runs in the second, and two more in the sixth.

Josh Brown was the winning pitcher. He was the first of six Texas Wesleyan pitchers, TAMU-T also used six pitchers.

Chambers leads Eagles with two hits

Tanner Armarl had three hits, and Michael Davila added two more for Texas Wesleyan. Cole Chambers led Texarkana with a double and single. Jake McDonald had a single, scored a run and drove in another. Tye Holliday had a single and scored two runs.

TAMU-T opens a key three-game Red River Athletic Conference series Friday night in Texarkana against LSU-Shreveport. The two teams play a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m.
