Chambers leads Eagles with two hits
Tanner Armarl had three hits, and Michael Davila added two more for Texas Wesleyan. Cole Chambers led Texarkana with a double and single. Jake McDonald had a single, scored a run and drove in another. Tye Holliday had a single and scored two runs.
TAMU-T opens a key three-game Red River Athletic Conference series Friday night in Texarkana against LSU-Shreveport. The two teams play a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m.
