BLEVINS, Ark.- Trinity Christian won its second straight softball game Thursday by outscoring Blevins, 25-18.
Hallie Fant led the Lady Warriors with a double, three singles and five RBI. Winning pitcher Sierra Cooper and Samantha Chandler had three hits each for the winners, while Landi Williamson contributed a double, single and four RBI.
Jasmine Pruitt had two hits and three RBI for Trinity Christian, with Sonya Mutoke and Anna Grace Jackson adding one hit each.
Cooper struck out five in earning the win in the circle. Her teammates supported with some outstanding defense.
Warriors’ baseball team tumbles
Trinity Christian wasn’t as fortunate in baseball, falling to Blevins, 13-6.
Paul Nix had a home run, double and two singles to lead the Trinity Christian at the plate. Evan Miller added a double and single, with Jakob Martin contributing two singles. Silas Nix, Kendall Jones and George Cox had one hit each.
Ashdown blanks Liberty-Eylau, 9-0
ASHDOWN, Ark. – Liberty-Eylau dropped a non-district game Thursday to Ashdown, 9-0.
Blake Bearden was the winning pitcher for the Panthers, while Spencer Aldridge suffered the loss.
Ethan Brooks, Blake Carter and Mathew O’Neal had one hit each for the Leopards.
