Texarkana, Texas Police said they want you to meet the newest member of the Texarkana Texas Police Department family. He’s Sam Lindsey.
Police said that they surprised Sam Lindsey at a dance at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Thursday evening with the news that he had been named an Honorary Texarkana, Texas Police Officer.
Mr. Lindsey has overcome challenges-police said
Texarkana, Texas Police said that although Sam has had some challenges in life, he always has a huge smile on his face.
“He is kind, considerate, and cares about everyone around him. Quite honestly, he exhibits all those good qualities that the rest of wish we had more of,” the Texarkana Police said. “He is an all around great guy. “
Police said that one thing that everyone who knows Sam will tell you is that he loves police officers. Sgt. Greg Walker, along with Officers Austin Butts and Zierre Spencer, had the privilege of presenting Sam with his appointment certificate and one of our shoulder patches. He also took a short ride with Sgt. Walker in a police car.
“Please join us in welcoming Sam to our department,” The Texarkana, Texas Police said.
