
Liberty-Eylau’s school board made it official Thursday night that Sulphur Springs native Klinton King is the new athletic director and head football coach.
King is moving to Texarkana from Fort Worth. He was the defensive coordinator at Richland High School in the Birdville ISD. King was also the head track coach. Prior to that position King resided in LaGrange and Longview.
King replaces Steve Wells, who retired four weeks ago.

Richland High compiled a record of 25-11 during King’s three years at the school.
L-E Superintendent Ronnie Thompson indicated Thursday that the Leopards’ could have other new faces on the football staff next fall.
