TEXARKANA, Arkansas – The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Corporal Lloyd Douglas to the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Douglas began his law enforcement career with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department in July of 2000. Sgt. Douglas served for 7 years in the United States Marine Corp as a Sergeant.
During his time with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department Sgt. Douglas has served in the Patrol Division, as well as time spent assigned as a K-9 Officer under the Special Operations Unit, and the Criminal Investigation Division where he was assigned to the Narcotics unit.

Sgt. Douglas has served as a member of the Honor Guard and as a Motor Bike Officer.
Sgt. Douglas holds an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate and has received numerous letters of commendation and appreciation throughout his tenure. In 2015 Sgt. Douglas was selected as Officer of the Year.
