
BENTON, Ark. -Two big innings by White Hall spelled the end of Arkansas High’s baseball season Friday.
The Bulldogs scored four runs in the second inning, and five more in the fifth en route to beating Arkansas High in the 5A state tournament, 10-7.
White Hall (18-11) was led by winning pitcher Zack Motsinger, who also contributed three hits and drove in two runs. Motsinger was replaced by Baylor Owen on the mound after being hit hard by the Razorbacks for five innings.
The Razorbacks (15-8) had leads of 2-0 and 6-5 prior to the Bulldogs’ two offensive explosions.
Razorbacks hit White Hall pitchers
Senior Drake Browning put on a show for the spectators with a triple and two doubles, scoring twice and driving home two runs. Unfortunately for Browning, he was the losing pitcher in relief of Braylon Bishop. Jackson Harris finished up on the mound for the Hogs.
Seven different Razorbacks had hits. Harris drove in two runs with two singles. Bishop and Graydon Martin had a double each. Bishop scored twice and drove in a run. Preston Bunch, Cody Adcock and Darby Sawyer had one hit each. Jadas Ross scored three runs.
Spencer Funderburg had two hits for White Hall, scoring a run and driving in one. Ryan Ruff drove in three runs with a bases loaded double, and Owen had a single and scored three runs.
