Jaylon Smith Hot Boyz blazing

Jaylon Smith, Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker told Fox Sports Texarkana 97.1 FM and 1400 AM  that their defense which he calls “the Hot Boyz” ,  will come out blazing this year. He s also said they’re looking forward to getting started.

The Cowboys open training camp Saturday in Oxnard, California.

Smith made his comments during an interview with Fox Sports Texarkana’s owner and morning show host Bob DelGiorno at a radio remote at Gentry Chevrolet in De Queen, Ark.

Throngs of Cowboys fans flocked to the auto dealership to get an autograph from the  Cowboys Star.

Smith is the leader of the Cowboys defense coached by Rod Marinelli.

Smith said the defense is hot!

“Hot Boyz, Hot Boyz, that’s the name we go by,” Smith said. “It’s a blessing to a part of the boys and for me being the quarterback of the defense and play caller it’s a wonderful opportunity and responsibility to lead these guys.”

Smith said that the Cowboys defense is building  their culture and they’re looking forward to getting started.

Smith is making an impact both on and off the field

Jaylon Smith is just as big of a leader off the field as he is on the field. He said that he has created a minority entrepreneurship institute in his hometown of Fort Wayne Indiana that provides entrepreneurship, financial funding, mentor-ship, and strategic planning for minorities.
