The De Kalb Bears beat the Daingerfield Tiger 35-28 to start the season 4-0 for the first time since 2004.

The game went exactly as expected. A back and forth battle between two bitter divisional rivals! Daingerfield capitalized first with a rushing score to go up 8-0.

De Kalb answered

De Kalb then answers with a rushing TD of their own by Jamar Vaughn. Daingerfield then marched down the field at Will and scores through the air to go up 16-7. They seem to like the 2 point conversion! But De Kalb doesn’t fold, with Vaughn overpowering the defensive line of Daingerfield and scores his second TD of the night to make the score 16-14. With the first mistake of the night, Daingerfield fumbles the ensuing kickoff, that ultimately leads to a TD run for QB Kole Dooley. (21-16) Daingerfield didn’t accept the 5 point deficit before half, as they cross the goal line and make 22-21 at the half.

De Kalb Bers defeat Daingerfield

In the 3rd, Jamar Vaughn picks up where he left off, as he scores his third TD run of the night. Daingerfield tried to answer, but gets picked off by Timon Proby, which leads to another Bears TD run by Dooley to go up 35-22. With the game seemingly in hand in the 4th, De Kalb coughs it up at their own 37 with 7 min remaining. Daingerfield cashes that turnover into points, score now 35-28. After a punt by

De Kalb now takes on Queen City next Friday.
