
FAIRFIELD BAY, Ark. – The Trinity Christian School golf program continues to improve annually.
The Lady Warriors have won three district championships in the first four years of existence. TCS added its biggest trophy to date Monday, with a second place finish in the Class A State Tournament.
Greers Ferry Westside won the championship, posting a score of 296. Scores were high at the difficult Mountain Ranch Golf Course, with the Lady Warriors following at 339.

Trinity Christian girls named all-state
Seniors Abi Starr and Madalyn Dowell earned all-state recognition for the Lady Warriors with top seven finishes in the individual competition. Star placed fourth, while Dowell was seventh.
The proud TCS coaches were Greg Starr, Wayne and Brenda Leeper.
Hawkins scores ace at Texarkana Golf Ranch
Another celebrity on the links in Texarkana was Matt Hawkins, who aced the 162-yard, par-3 at Texarkana Golf Ranch.
Hawkins used a 6-iron to score his hole-in-one Sunday. Witnessing the shot were Phil Cramer and Brent Jones.
Old Pro records hole-in-one at TCC
Rick Rogers continues to make noise on local golf courses into his 70s.
The former Northridge Country Club pro, Texas A&M-Texarkana coach, and Pleasant Grove coach, aced the par-3 13th Saturday at Texarkana Country Club.
Rogers’ spectacular shot was witnessed by Jim Blevins, Merle Grimes and Debbie Sheppard.
