HOT SPRINGS — Isaac Echols rushed for a 2-yard touchdown to even the Lakeside Rams with the Arkansas High Razorbacks 20-20 Friday night.
The ensuing extra point gave the Rams the one-point advantage. The Razorbacks managed just three yards on the next drive, resulting in a four-and-out, and the Hogs’ first conference loss of the season.
Miscues and giveaways plagued the Razorbacks and allowed the Rams to stick around. Arkansas High lost the turnover battle 3-1 with Lakeside, and the Rams.
Braylon Bishop carried the Hogs going 8-of-19 for 207 yards and two touchdowns and an interception. Bishop rushed eight times for 56 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown, as Arkansas High tallied 26 carries for 153 yards on the night. Torie Blair added 55 of those yards on his 11 rushes.
Tylee Green caught three passes for 85 yards and a touchdown, and Louis Blackwell was the Hogs’ leading receiver with three receptions for 113 yards and a score.
The Rams gained 153 yards on the ground on 43 carries. Quarterback Will Ross completed 14-of-24 for 119 yards and a touchdown.
Arkansas High falls to 3-2 on the season with a 1-1 conference record. The Razorbacks take to the road next Friday to face Little Rock McClellan.
The Rams are 4-2 on the season with a 2-1 conference record. Lakeside stays home next week to host the Hope Bobcats.
