Waskom, who came into the night with a record of 1-4, was in an almost must win situation.
Thought the night didn’t start as plan, as the Wildcats coughed up the ball, in which the
Bears turned into 6 points, with a Kole Dooley rush.
In the 2nd quarter, Waskom gets on the board with a rushing td of their own, and a two-point conversion tacked on. But the
cats weren’t done yet, with a TD pass right before half to go up 15-6. In the second half,
both teams were at a stand still, with both teams held out of the end zone in the 3rd.
With the time running down in the 4th, the Bears score on another Dooley rush, to pull
within 2 (15-13) But the Wildcats would not be denied, with another TD, to put the fateful
nail in the coffin for Dekalb. Waskom took this one on a crisp night 22-13.
Dekalb (5-1) will now go on road to face their most daunting task of the season, trying to
stop the undefeated Pewitt Brahmas
