Paul Pewitt’s La-Jathan Allen has been named one of Ford Motor Company’s 2019 Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Players of the Week. He won the award for week 7 on the 2019 season. Allen is one of six Built Ford Tough gridiron heroes being honored for their performance on the field and their leadership off the field.
Each week of the regular high school football season will see a new winner in the sport’s six classifications, all with hopes of ultimately becoming the Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Player of the Year.
Class 3-A: La-Jathan Allen, Senior, Running Back/DB, Paul Pewitt
In a 47-21 win, running back La-Jathan Allen carried 29 times for 235 yards and three touchdowns, completing his performance with one catch for three yards for the Paul Pewitt High School Brahmas. Defensively, Allen also recorded twelve tackles, a sack, a TFL, a pass break-up and a forced fumble.
