Paul Pewitt’s LaJathan Allen lead the Bulls to a 32-26 hard fought win against De Kalb in a district showdown at Bulls Stadium.
The senior had 183 yards on 12 carries and also lead the defense with 12 tackles and 2 interceptions the final one coming in the Bulls end zone with :29 seconds left to seal the game.
Allen had scoring runs if 60,35 and 2 yards to lead a Nasty Bulls offense to 411 yards on the ground.
It was a back and forth affair with both teams moving the ball on the ground. Bulls lead 19-14 at the half. The Bears come out and scored twice in the 3rd quarter last one with 2:31 left to tie the game at 26-26. Paul Pewitt scored on 9 play 61 yard drive with Cross Holder keeping it around the corner for a 22 yard touchdown to put Paul Pewitt up 32-26 with 4:12 left in game.
De Kalb drives to the Paul Pewitt 14 with :29 seconds left and Allen comes up with his 2nd interception in the end zone to seal the W for the Bulls.
Paul Pewitt is now 7-0 on the year with a 4-0 of that record coming in district play. The Bulls travel next week to Elysian Fields, who lost to the Waskom Wildcats 28-19 on Friday night.
