
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Pleasant Grove graduate T.J. Cole rushed for 80 yards on seven carries and scored two touchdowns Saturday, helping Ouachita Baptist University remain unbeaten. The Tigers built a 35-0 lead in routing Oklahoma Baptist, 42-14.
Senior Shun’cee Thomas of Bossier City, scored at Cliff Harris Stadium with 9:48 left in the first quarter to put the Tigers on top for good. Cole followed with a 40-yard scoring run later in the quarter, adding his second TD run in the fourth period on a 10-yard run.

Cole’s best game this season gives him 329 yards in seven games.
Ouachita Baptist (7-0) also got an outstanding effort from starting running back Brockton Brown, a senior from Sheridan, Ark. Brown scored twice and rushed for a team-high 86 yards on 10 carries. Thomas scored twice, finishing with 77 yards on 17 totes.
The Tigers’ offense was virtually unstoppable as they converted 13 of 14 third down plays. The host team finished with 415 total yards, 341 on the ground.
Senior defensive end Zach Curry had a fumble recovery to set up a short scoring drive. Warren graduate Hayden Lassiter had an interception to stage another short touchdown march.
