
McKinney Boyd cruised to a 27-shot victory Saturday in the Jay Brewer Memorial Lady Tigers Golf Classic at Texarkana Country Club.
All five of Boyd’s golfers scored below 90, including Brooke Morales and Ellie Rippee, who posted 77 and 79, respectively. Krissy Fowler shot an 81 to go with her opening round of 78, while Molly Murray shot 87.

McKinney Boyd wins tournament by 27 strokes
Boyd’s team score of 324 on Saturday was by far the low team score of the day.
Texas High improved 13 strokes in the final round for a a team score of 761, which was 109 shots back of Boyd’s 652. Aledo was second at 679, with Denton Guyer third at 684.
The Lady Tigers’ Gracie Henard was one of four girls to shoot in the 70’s both days. Houston Memorial’s Jackie Nguyen shot a tournament-record low round of 68 on Friday. She slipped to a 79 in the final round, but still won medalist honors with a 147 total.
Texas High’s Kenzie Parker posted a 92 over the final 18 holes for a 178 total. Autumn Parrott improved 13 shots Saturday with an 88 for a 189 total. Angie Parrott shot 115 for 237.
