TASD Schools Recognized for Beating the Odds in Math and ELA

TEXARKANA, Arkansas – Four TASD Schools,  North Heights Junior High, College Hill Middle School, Fairview Elementary, and College Hill Elementary were recognized by the Office of Education Policy (OEP) as schools that are Beating the Odds. Schools that receive the Beating the Odds recognition demonstrate high growth in Math and English Language Arts (ELA) on the ACT Aspire even though the school serves a high percentage of students eligible for free or reduced-price meals. “These outstanding educational performance awards are an indication of the positive impact that our schools are having on our students,” commented Superintendent Dr. Becky Kesler.
