Texas High played possibly its best basketball of the season in the first quarter of Tuesday’s game against Lancaster at Tiger Center, but the Lady Tigers couldn’t keep the pace the rest of the way.

The Tigers charged out of the gate early, leading by as many as 13 points before settling for a 27-15 edge at the first break. Keturah Johnson scored 10 of her total 11 points in the period.

The visiting Tigers regained the lead with the first four points of the third quarter and never trailed again, pulling away in the final period.
Kerrighan led Texas High with 20 points, but Johnson was the only other Lady Tiger in double figures. Sadeya Finley scored seven of her nine points in the big first quarter.

Skylar Barnes scored a game-high 22 points for the visitors. Aysia Wood added 16.
