The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks survived a slow start and massive New Boston home crowd. The Lady Hawks went in the Lion’s den eventually coming out with a 62-37 win in Girls varsity basketball Tuesday.
The game was live on 94.1 FM ESPN, Texarkana’s high school sports leader.
New Boston led at the end of the first quarter
New Boston led at the half 12-11. However, the PG girls outscored New Boston 51-26 in the final 3 quarters eventually coasting to a victory.
The Lady Hawks were led by senior Shanequa Henry who scored 21 points, 17 in the second half. Asia Lloyd poured in 12 for the Lady Hawks and sophomore Bryana Block had 10 points.
Carlee Ratcliff scored 10 points for the Lady Lions and Carleigh Reeder poured in 10 points.
