Kyler Edwards scored 18 of his 20 points after halftime and No. 23 Texas Tech beat Cal State Bakersfield 73-58 for its 54th consecutive home win over a nonconference team. It was the last game for the 9-3 Red Raiders before they open Big 12 play. Freshman Jahmi’us Ramsey also scored 20 points for Texas Tech on Sunday. He had eight of Tech’s 13 points in a game-clinching run midway through the second half. The Red Raiders, who went to the national championship game and were Big 12 co-champs last season, open conference play Saturday at home against Oklahoma State.
