The Pleasant grove Lady Hawks girls varsity basketball team opened district play with a dominating 75-12 win over the visiting North Lamar Lady Panthers.
The game was played Saturday afternoon at the Hawks gym instead of Friday because of a severe thunderstorm that moved though the Texarkana area Friday night.
Block led the Lady Hawks
The Lady Hawks (17-4,1-0) were led by Bryana Block who scored 24 points. Miaya Ware scored 12 points and Tyler Whitaker chipped in with 10 points.
The PG Lady Hawks next game is Tuesday night at crosstown rival Liberty-Eylau. The game will be live on 94.1 FM ESPN-Texarkana, ESPNTexarkana.com, the Freed AM Sports App, and RadioStreamingNow.com.
