Lady Hawks remain at top of 15-4A with road win over Liberty-Eylau; AHS girls fall



Shanequa Henry poured in 21 points Tuesday at the Rader Dome to keep Pleasant Grove on top of District 15-4A with a 57-47 win over the Liberty-Eylau Lady Leopards.

The Lady Hawks are now 17-4 on the season and 2-0 in 15-4A, while L-E falls to 13-9 overall and 1-1.

Keyshawn Davis hurt the Lady Leopards inside with 18 points, while former Lady Leopard Bryana Block contributed seven points and several assists.

Eliyah Howard led Liberty-Eylau with 17 points. Dacoria Meadows added 11 points, with Janiya Sanders scoring 10.

Pleasant Grove will be back in action Friday at home against Pittsburg. Liberty-Eylau travels to Paris on Friday.

Lady Trojans defeat Arkansas High

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Journee Hicks and Jaliya Reed combined for 43 points Tuesday night to beat Arkansas High’s girls, 51-29. Hicks led the Trojans with 22 points.

The Razorbacks (6-7, 1-1) were led by Jamyia Montgomery’s 10 points. Fortunate Barry added nine points.

Arkansas High will be back in action Friday at home against Sheridan.
