MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — Javion Hamlet scored 21 points and had four assists without a turnover as North Texas held off Middle Tennessee 75-70 on Thursday night, winning in Murfreesboro for the first time in 11 years. James Reese added 13 points all in the second half. His clutch layin after breaking the Middle Tennessee press with 30 seconds left blunted the Blue Raiders comeback and lifted North Texas to its best conference start (9-2) in program history. Antonio Green scored 18 points and buried four straight 3-pointers to spark a 13-0 Blue Raiders rally in the waning minutes.
