HALLSVILLE, Texas – Liberty-Eylau split its first two games Thursday at the Reich Builders Classic at Hallsville High School.
Nate Moore had two hits and drove home a run in the Leopards’ opening 4-3 win over Marshall. Braylon Blair also had a run-scoring hit.
Winning pitcher Spencer Aldridge had one hit and scored twice. He walked three and struck out seven for the win. Bryce Blackwell also had a hit and scored, with L-E improving to 5-2-1 on the season.
Drewery shines in Reich Builders Classic
Host Hallsville got a brilliant pitching performance from southpaw Jeb Drewery in the Bobcats’ 6-0 victory against Liberty-Eylau. Drewery allowed only one hit.
Matt Houston led the Bobcats at the plate with three hits. Zach Daniel had a double and single, scoring twice and driving in a run. Austin Daniel drove in two runs with a double.
Parker Goodman suffered the pitching loss for L-E. Ethan Brooks had the Leopards’ only hit.
