TEXARKANA — The Texas Department of Transportation announced Monday that the traffic on FM 1398 westbound under Interstate 30 near Hooks will be limited to one direction at a time along the underpass.
According to TXDOT, the limitation will commence the week of April 6 and will continue for about three months.
While working in the area, the contractor will have a set traffic control on the roadway to move motorists along FM 1398 in a one-lane, two-way pattern. The unique setup will be between Clark Park Road and Willow Oak Road, according to TXDOT.
Vehicles entering FM 1398 from Clark Park Road will be limited to right turns only during the duration of the work. A “right turn only” sign will be posted in advance of the stop sign on Clark Park Road, and access from FM 1398 on Clark Park Road will be allowed.
The project is expected to take three months to finish. Once the worked is finished, current traffic movements will be restored.
