AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The University of Texas announced Wednesday that students will return to campus for the fall semester. They will be on campus from Aug. 26 to Thanksgiving. Students won’t return from the holiday and will take finals online. An employee for a popular Texas ice cream maker Blue Bell has tested positive for COVID-19, the company said. Blue Bell said the area where the employee worked has been deep cleaned and disinfected. Texas reported 1,411 new COVID-19 cases and 50 new deaths. That pushed the state over 50,000 cases and brings the overall death toll to 1,419.
